As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The editorial board of Jurnal Kesehatan Lingkungan accepts scientific article in environmental sanitation, health entomology and health microbiology (see: Focus and Scope).
The article should free from plagiarism. The article is being written accordingly to the guideline as well as never or under publication on other media, printed or electronic.
The editorial board has full authority in the selection of the submitted article. Article selection is done on paper and objectively.
The article which published at Jurnal Kesehatan Lingkungan does not automatically reflect the Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin Jurusan Kesehatan Lingkungan view.
The article is written in Indonesian or English with font type Cambria 11 and space exactly 1. The paper size is A4 with one column format. The length of the article around 2500-3000 words, including figure, graphic, or table.
The article which is published in Jurnal Kesehatan Lingkungan should be accompanied with the Letter of Copyright Release.
All submitted articles should follow the article template which is at the end of this guidance.
Authors are required to use a reference manager such as Mendeley, Zotero, or similar tools, and apply the Vancouver citation style (using superscript or brackets, with the year written in numerical format only). The minimum number of references must comply with the following: 25 references for Original Research manuscripts and 35 references for Literature Review manuscripts.

All articles submitted to Jurnal Kesehatan Lingkungan must be original works, not previously published, and exclusively submitted to this journal. Manuscripts should follow the "Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals" updated December 2016 by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). The Editorial Board reserves the right to edit articles for style, format, and clarity. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts. Manuscripts with excessive errors may be returned for retyping or rejected. All submissions undergo peer and editorial review. Authors must supply the ICMJE conflict of interest statement form, ethical approval copy (if applicable), Free Plagiarism Statement, Cover Letter, and Statement Form signed by all authors. Templates are available here.
Report guidelines include CONSORT for randomized trials, STROBE for observational studies, and SRQR or COREQ for qualitative research.
Study Ethics
Research involving animals and/or human subjects must have ethics committee approval. A copy of the approval must be submitted with the manuscript.
Publication Ethics
This journal follows guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to address all ethical aspects, including research and publication misconduct.
Language
Manuscripts must be well-structured in English. Authors are responsible for translation and proofreading. Professional proofreading is required at the final review stage, with a proofread statement letter and agency receipt submitted to jurnal@kesling-poltekkesbjm.com (subject: Proofread Requirements – [manuscript ID]). Use “Track Changes” in Microsoft Word to highlight corrections.

Use MS Word format
A4 paper size with 2 cm margins on all sides
Typeface: Cambrian, font size 11, single line and paragraph spacing
Avoid bold letters except for chapter or subchapter titles
Do not use automated features except reference managers
Manuscript structure: title page and authorship, abstract, keywords, main text, conflicts of interest, acknowledgments, references, tables, figures, and legends
Abstract and Keywords
Abstract should be an informative summary (max 250 words), structured as introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion. Use past tense for background, present and past tense for objectives, methods, results, discussion, and conclusions. Include up to 5 keywords.
Tables and Figures
Tables placed at the end of the manuscript, numbered sequentially (Table 1, Table 2, etc.), with clear titles
Table headers: Cambrian, 10 pt, bold
Table content: Cambrian, 8 pt, single spaced
Figures submitted separately in editable files, JPEG or TIFF format, min. 300 DPI, 1000 x 1000 pixels
Define abbreviations on first use with full term in parentheses, e.g., Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Use international standards for abbreviations. Use metric units for weight, volume, etc.
Data Presentation
Present numbers as percentages (%) in text and tables
Use comma format for thousands (e.g., IDR 123,300) and decimal points for fractions (e.g., 172.4 cm)
Acknowledge institutional, technical, financial, or material support. Disclose any conflicts of interest.
References
Use reference managers (Mendeley, Zotero, etc.) and Vancouver style (superscript, brackets, only year in date)

Plagiarism Policy
Jurnal Kesehatan Lingkungan strictly prohibits plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Manuscripts must be original and properly cite all sources. Similarity rate must be below 15%. Use Turnitin for plagiarism checking (http://turnitin.com).
Double Publication Policy
Identical or similar manuscripts to previous publications will not be processed. Authors should disclose any overlapping works.
Ethics
Ethics Committee Approval
Research must comply with laws and regulations, including the Helsinki Declaration. Manuscripts lacking ethical approval for invasive studies may be rejected.
Informed Consent
For manuscripts containing individual data, consent to publish must be obtained. State “Not applicable” if not relevant.
Animal Experiments
Include ethical approval and describe steps to minimize animal suffering.
Human Intervention
Approval from ethical committees and informed consent from participants must be stated.
Vulnerable Groups
Secure informed consent with appropriate support for vulnerable populations.
